Immigration raids have reached California’s fields, putting thousands of farmworkers at risk. The agricultural workforce in the state, which supplies products to the rest of the country, is mostly Latino. Many migrants have expressed fear about going to work. How can ICE’s presence in rural areas impact the U.S. economy? Who replaces the workers expelled from their jobs?
