Will the Senate approve the controversial proof-of-citizenship requirement to vote? The bill requiring individuals to prove U.S. citizenship before voting faces an uncertain future. Although Republicans hold the majority, they need 60 votes to pass the controversial legislation, which cleared the House this week and would take effect for the November elections. Intense debate is expected over whether the so-called SAVE Act is truly aimed at preventing fraud—or instead at suppressing the vote. Reporting from Washington, José López Zamorano.

A senior woman faced complications after failing to enroll in Medicare on time. After decades working in cleaning jobs, a retired Latina with health issues endured an ordeal in Colorado for not enrolling on time in the federal health insurance program for older adults, known as Medicare. Experts warn that many similar cases exist across the state and that federal cuts could worsen the problem. Rossana Longo-Better spoke with her and brings us her story from Denver.

In Washington State, farmworkers raise their voices over labor hardships.
