Community health workers are helping Latinos who misuse alcohol and other substances rethink their habits and reduce consumption—something traditional treatment approaches have often failed to achieve. How do these health workers build trust and motivate Latinos to cut back on drinking? Researchers in California who studied the issue share their findings.
