Adams Indictment. New York City Mayor Eric Adams was indicted following a federal corruption investigation, the first sitting mayor of New York to face criminal charges. Federal prosecutors charged him with bribery, wire fraud, and taking illegal contributions from foreign nationals. Amid calls for his resignation, Adams denied the charges and said he wouldn’t quit.
