Democrats Seek to Curb Violence by Federal Agents in ICE Raids

Democrats in Congress have indicated they would approve the federal budget for security and immigration policy if ICE agents adopt a new code of conduct. Under an agreement with Republican lawmakers, the government shutdown would last a few days. They now have two weeks to reach an agreement in Congress. The negotiations have generated cautious optimism among activists and members of Congress. José López Zamorano brings us the details from Washington, D.C.
