Folk artists and culture bearers get together at the site of the Smithsonian’s “Of the People: The Festival of Festivals” in Washington, DC. In live conversations from The Radio Corner, they share memories of the creation of cultural institutions and grassroots groups and the work cultivating a sense of belonging, and imagine a future of community growth.

Guests: José López Zamorano, Co-Host and Correspondent, Radio Bilingüe; Steve Velazquez, Curator of the Exhibition on Low Riders “Corazón y Vida: Lowriding Culture”, National Museum of American History; Mike Valle, President, Just Klownin Car Club; Camilo Montoya, Musician, Slam Poet and Cultural Promoter originally from Nicaragua – all from Washington, DC.
