Caring for Toddlers

THURSDAY, JULY 2

PROGRAM #11189 11:00 AM PT

Caring for Toddlers.

The first three years of life are crucial for a child’s development. To provide excellent care for babies, parents are advised to track key developmental milestones, adhere to the recommended vaccination schedule, ensure timely interventions and proper nutrition, and maintain regular parent-child communication. If a child has a diagnosed delay or is at risk of developmental delays, early intervention programs step in to provide support. In California, these support services are a federal right for children aged 0 to 3. In this program, specialists answer key questions and offer practical guidance for families with young children in the Central Valley.

Guests: Jeannette Newman-Velez, Breastfeeding Peer Counseling Unit Manager, Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program, California Department of Public Health (CDPH), Davis, CA; Militza Garaban, Doula, Fresno, CA.
