TUESDAY, MARCH 31
PROGRAM #11094 11:00 AM PT
Bobi Céspedes.
At 80 years old, Bobi Céspedes opens the doors of her home in Oakland to share a life shaped by music, memory, and spirituality. A santera and singer, she speaks of her connection to the clave, her ancestors, and the women who inhabit her work, as in her album “Mujer y Cantante”. Her pieces will be featured in the Smithsonian Institution’s exhibition “¡Puro Ritmo!”. How do identity, heritage, and creativity intertwine in her story? This is a program in the series Thirty Years, Thirty Voices.
