María Eraña

María Eraña began her journalism career in the San Diego-Tijuana border region, where she worked as a reporter and editor, as well as an advocate for immigrants’ rights and arts organizations. María joined Radio Bilingüe as a freelance correspondent in 1988 and came to Fresno as founding producer of Línea Abierta in 1996. She eventually was also the producer of Noticiero Latino and Edición Semanaria. She has been RB's Director of Broadcasting since 2004 and supervises day-to-day network station operations, as well as musical and public affairs programming, including La Hora Mixteca and Comunidad Alerta. She has been instrumental in Radio Bilingüe’s service expansion throughout the Southwest and has fostered fruitful relationships with public agencies and arts organizations seeking to reach the Latino community. María studied History at the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
