Does Florida’s New Law Truly Combat Terrorism? 

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has signed a bill granting himself and other officials the authority to designate certain groups as “terrorist organizations.” Civil rights advocates and members of the Muslim community are decrying the measure as an assault on civil liberties and part of an electoral strategy by the governor, who aspires to run for the presidency in 2028.
