Hundreds have been arrested in Memphis after the Trump administration deployed a tactical task force made up of ICE, FBI, and DEA agents, and the National Guard. The official narrative cites efforts to curb the rise of violent crimes. However, reports show that many arrests have targeted immigrants and Latinos. What is the atmosphere in this Democratic stronghold? How are immigrant and Latino families coping? What has been the local government’s response?
