Wildfires in Arizona remain out of control

There are currently several wildfires in western US states, putting millions of people on alert due to the dangers of toxic smoke.
One of the worst fires is spreading rapidly in Arizona. It is the Dragon Bravo fire, which started more than a month ago and has destroyed dozens of structures and the Grand Canyon National Park, and is still out of control.
Maritza Félix, founder and executive director of Conecta Arizona, explains the situation with this fire, which is the largest in the nation and the seventh largest in Arizona’s history.
She talks about the areas of greatest risk in the state.
In addition, another phenomenon affecting the population as a result of the fires is air pollution. Let’s hear from Maritza Félix, founder and executive director of Conecta Arizona.
Maritza Félix says that it is not only the Dragon Bravo fire, but that there is another active fire.
Maritza Félix, founder and executive director of Conecta Arizona, shares that Latinos in the state are now more aware that the intensity of these fires and other phenomena are the result of climate change.
Extreme heat, dry air, and gusty winds have caused the fire to grow explosively, reversing the progress made by firefighting crews.
If you are in a risk area, please heed the warnings and recommendations of the authorities to stay safe.
