Trump has his sights set on Memphis, TN

President Trump maintains his intention to use military force against Democratic cities he accuses of being plagued by violence and crime. Now, Memphis, Tennessee, is in his sights. Trump declared that he will soon announce the next city to which he will send the National Guard.

Maria Oceja, Co-founder and Organizer of Neighborhoods 901 in Memphis, TN, explains that the community must remain united and clarifies that while violence is currently high, such a measure is not justified.

She explains that one problem that causes violence is the use of weapons, and that Memphis law is very permissive in this regard. She describes the city and society of Memphis.

She indicates that they had a public hearing and tells us what the community had to say, although she acknowledges that there is crime in the city.
