Tax Day. On Tax Day, financial advisors share news and last-minute tips on tax returns. Also, the U.S. Department of the Treasury and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) launched the new Direct File Pilot Program, to file their taxes directly with the IRS, including a new Spanish version of the free tax filing service. Direct File is announced as a simple, easy to use, no junk fees, tool made possible by President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act.

Biden on Tax Plans.

President Biden travels to the battleground state of Pennsylvania, where he is giving a speech focusing on his plans to raise taxes on the wealthy and large corporations, arguing that his rival Donald Trump’s economic agenda and tax cuts benefit the billionaires.
