Paisano Program welcomes Mexican nationals this season

At this time of the year many Mexican families residing in the United States prepare to make the trip back to their native country, in some cases they do it by car and organize themselves in caravans, so Mexican authorities are preparing to receive thousands of emigrants during the Christmas holidays.

The National Migration Institute implemented the special winter 2024 operation of the Héroes Paisanos Program that will be in effect until January 12, 2025, the operation aims to receive millions of Mexicans living abroad and traveling to their hometowns and cities to spend the Christmas and New Year holidays.

With 40 federal state and municipal agencies spreading throughout the country’s 32 states with 225 service modules and the support of 479 citizen observers, the Mexican government has been welcoming its countrymen and women since Thanksgiving weekend.
