Operation Aurora, Deportations are not the solution
Since the campaign Donald Trump promised to carry out ‘Operation Aurora’ that would deport immigrant gang members through a 1798 law.
In addition, the program proposes the death penalty for foreigners who murder a citizen and would allegedly target a Venezuelan gang that allegedly terrorized residents of a building in Aurora.
Andrea Chiriboga-Flor, Executive Director of the People’s Justice Law Center in Aurora Colorado, explains what they do as an organization and says the story that a gang was putting the community at risk never happened.
He says that the conditions of the building were unsanitary and the immigrant families living there were being evicted for no reason, using the theme of insecurity, even though it was not true.
Andrea Chiriboga-Flor, Executive Director of the People’s Justice Legal Center in Aurora Colorado, indicated that they have sued the building management company for what has actually happened.
Andrea Chiriboga-Flor, Executive Director of the People’s Justice Legal Center in Aurora Colorado, lamented that the future president would use people’s suffering to legitimize mass deportations.
Finally Andrea Chiriboga-Flor, Executive Director of Centro Jurídico de Justicia para el Pueblo in Aurora Colorado, says that the fight continues to defend the rights of the Latino community.
This is thanks in part to The Colorado Trust.
