Trump insisted that Aurora is terrorized by a Venezuelan gang and promised that, if he wins this November, he will begin his mass deportations there. What barriers do Latinos Face in Applying for Climate-Smart Agriculture Programs? The federal government has spent millions of dollars promoting climate-smart agriculture to mitigate the impact of the climate change crisis on food production. In California’s San Joaquin Valley, federal and state resources have been made available for this purpose. While some Latino farmers in the region have had success using these resources and programs, others say they have little knowledge of them or are discouraged by bureaucratic red tape.
