LULAC analyzes Democratic platform after endorsement of Kamala Harris
After the adoption of the Democratic platform after the National Convention, which nominated Kamala Harris, issues such as immigration, economy, jobs and permanent benefits for Dreamers are in the interest of our community.
Juan Proaño, president of LULAC, the League of United Latin American Citizens, the largest civil rights organization in the United States, talks about the Democratic platform and the policies that are proposed, especially how they will impact the Latino community. Such is the case of housing that would have a support of $25,000 to buy a house.
He emphasizes that Latino families would receive help through a tax subsidy per child, in order to gain the support of the middle class.
On issues that have to do with migration and Latinos, Juan Proaño, stresses that while there are not many details of the policies is better kamala Harris because Trump definitely not help the Latino community, so says the president of LULAC.
He stresses that the Democrats should campaign in the states, even if they are not with the largest Latino population, because if there are voters who can be faithful to the balance.
Juan Proaño says that among the issues of concern to Latinos is the Daca Dreamers lawsuit.
