Los Angeles sets an example for efficient water use

The city of Los Angeles has grown by half a million since 1990, yet today the city consumes much less water than it did then, almost half as much. These results provide some relief for the Colorado River water crisis, which is an important source of water supply for Los Angeles.

Laura Ramos, Director of the California Water Institute at California State University, Fresno, shares her thoughts on why these water savings and efficiencies have been achieved.
