In Tijuana, Experts Urge Preparations for Possible Mass Deportations

When Republican Donald Trump reaches the White House, it appears that he will keep his promise to begin mass deportations of millions of undocumented immigrants living in the United States. Many of them have been here for decades and are part of the country’s economy, especially in construction, agriculture and services. Researchers in Mexico say that Mexican authorities have so far failed to explain how they will deal with the needs of a possible wave of deportees. Alejandro Maciel spoke with them and visited a shelter. He reports from the border city of Tijuana.
