Health coverage improves children’s learning

In the U.S. almost 4 million children do not have health coverage, however, there is an option for children to have access to these complete services for free or at a low cost depending on the family’s income.

The process to access medical coverage for children known as Chip is open all year round and is for children and adolescents.

Official data show that 81 million people are enrolled in Medicaid and Chip, more than 37 million are children and many of them are Latino children, so it is very important to have health insurance to ensure that with health coverage not only keep children healthy but greatly increase the chances that they will have a more successful future life in this country.
