Firefighters make progress in containing LA fires

Firefighters continue to battle wildfires in Los Angeles and Southern California, reporting that they are still working on containment.

According to Cal Fire, the Palisades Fire, the largest of the wildfires that destroyed thousands of homes, is now 95% contained. The Eaton Fire, which broke out near Altadena, was 99% contained. This thanks to the work of firefighters and the rains that brought relief.

He said they are now concerned about mudslides in the area.

On the other hand, he said they are alerted by the smoke and dust coming from the materials of houses, cars and others that were destroyed by the fires.
