Cutting federal spending affects veterans

The Trump administration plans to cut tens of thousands of federal employees, including from the Veterans Administration (VA), which has provoked a wave of concern and anger among military veterans.

In fact, the Department of Veterans Affairs plans to cut 83,000 jobs, which would reduce the veteran workforce by 17 percent, even affecting medical care for this population group.

Felix Madrigal-Rodriguez, Texas State Commander for the American GI Forum and Vietnam combat veteran, decries Trump’s policy.
