¡Chicanísima! 

The ¡Chicanísima! Opera celebrates the life and work of veteran Chicanx civil rights leader and LGBTQ+ activist Olga Talamante. The opera explores her journey from working the fields as a child to her decades of activism in the US, Mexico, and in Argentina, where she became a political prisoner. After surviving violence at the hands of a military regime, Talamante has been on a journey to find recovery and healing from trauma. This interview with Talamante includes segments of the opera, performed by Quinteto Latino. This is a special holiday edition.
