After a 30-year struggle to honor the labor and civil rights leader Cesar Chavez, the first street signs are being installed for the new “Cesar Chavez Boulevard” in Fresno. The new corridor will extend for ten miles through largely working-class neighborhoods in South Fresno. The city council member who spearheaded the initiative talks about the legal challenges and plans to celebrate.
