Currently there are several viruses in the environment such as covid-19, syncytial flu and influenza, and Latinos are the population group with the lowest level of protection through vaccines, yet we have 20% higher hospitalization rates for influenza than other minorities.

As a result, public health leaders have launched a campaign entitled “Risk Less. Do More.” campaign that seeks to educate Latinos and address misinformation about these viruses and vaccines.

Dr. Trinidad Solis, Public Health Physician, deputy director of health for the Fresno County, California Department of Public Health. She comments on how much these viruses are affecting our community.

In addition, the doctor indicates that the Latino community is becoming a vulnerable group due to the low vaccination rate.

What new symptoms are being registered with the new variants, let’s listen to Dr. Trinidad Solis.

Remember that even if you have been previously infected or vaccinated, you will still need to be up to date with vaccinations to deal with the new variants.

Dr. Trinidad Solis said that people with chronic diseases should maintain protection with the mask to avoid contagion.

Dr. Trinidad Solis called on parents to vaccinate their children, not only because of the Covid infection, but also because of the after-effects that the disease can leave.

For this reason, she recalls that the federal government is currently promoting this campaign “Risk less. Do more.”So that people are informed about the importance of vaccination and protection.

In these days will be available the new vaccine against Covid, so do not hesitate and apply it to be protected and protect your family.
