Because breast milk helps children grow up healthy and develop well, recent UNICEF data indicate that, worldwide, more than 8 million children do not benefit from breast milk, in fact, the study points out that most of these children come from rich countries.
It is estimated that 21% of babies in high-income countries have never received breast milk, while in low- and middle-income countries the rate is 4%.

She urges that for at least one month newborns should be fed with breast milk to better protect her baby.
It is important that mothers who wish to breastfeed their children successfully and without problems, regardless of their social, work and family circumstances, and to continue to promote to prevent many mothers from abandoning breastfeeding prematurely.
