Senate Hearing on Immigratin Reform; Arizonana Present "State of the Immigrant Families"; Few Eligible Youth Applying for DACA.

SENATE HEARING ON IMMIGRATION REFORM 鈥 President Barack Obama gave his State of the Union speech this week, including in his priorities an increase to m铆nimum wage, investment in education, gun control, and immigration reform. Hours after Obama鈥檚 speech, the Senate held its first immigration hearing. Jos茅 L贸pez Zamorano reports from the Capitol in Washington, D.C.

ARIZONANS PRESENT 鈥淪TATE OF THE IMMIGRANT FAMILIES鈥 -  At the same time the State of the Union was being reported, a group of pro-immigrant activists in Arizona presented a report on the 鈥淪tate of the Immigrant Families.鈥 These critics of Washington policy say many undocumented immigrants could lose the opportunity to legalize, because of state anti-immigrant laws. Valeria Fern谩ndez has more details from Phoenix.

FEW ELIGIBLE YOUTH APPLYING FOR DACA 鈥 As the possibility of immigration reform is discussed again, the most recent government data show that three fourths of those who could benefit from Deferred Action have still not applied. Deferred Action, or DACA, allows undocumented youth to legalize their immigration status with a temporary two-year permit. What are the obstacles for youth to take advantage of the opportunity?  Javier Aparisi reports from Miami, Florida, one of the states with the largest numbers of eligible youth.
