Sandy Leaves Lower Manhattan a Ghost Town; Latinos Vote Early in Big Numbers; New Florida Latinos could Define the Election.

SANDY LEAVES LOWER MANHATTAN A GHOST TOWN 鈥 New York is slowly recuperating from the wake of death and destruction left by Hurricane Sandy. Lower Manhattan, the same zone hurt by the September 11th attacks, was left without public transportation, electricity or internet, and tunnels flooded. Some neighbors have had to go out to look for food in trash cans. Marco Vinicio Gonz谩lez has the story from the Big Apple.

LATINOS VOTE EARLY IN BIG NUMBERS 鈥 Almost 10 percent of all Latino voters in the United States voted 鈥渆arly鈥, according to a national survey. But the big question is i fon Tuesday that enthusiasm will extend to Latino voters in key states such as Colorado, Nevada, and Florida, that could define the path of the country. Jos茅 L贸pez Zamorano reports from the nation鈥檚 capital.

NEW FLORIDA LATINOS COULD DEFINE THE ELECTION 鈥 It鈥檚 still not clear which candidate will win the 29 electoral votes from the crucial state of Florida. But there is no doubt that Latino voters will play a key role in the process. Until not long ago, the Latino population in the state was mostly Cuban and leaned Republican, but in recent years, the state has seen an influx of Puerto Ricans and Latinos of other origins, who tend to vote Democrat. From Miami, Javier Aparisi reports.
