Voters Wrongly Removed Now Returned to Florida's Lists; Popular Singer of Mexican Music Turns 100 Years Old.

VOTERS WRONGLY REMOVED NOW RETURNED TO FLORIDA’S LISTS – Florida’s Department of State will notify more than 2,000 voters who were wrongly identified as non-citizens that they can participate in November’s presidential elections. A large number of the voters that were wrongly erased from the registration records are Latinos, in a state that is crucial for the presidential elections. Javier Aparisi reports from Miami.

POPULAR SINGER OF MEXICAN MUSIC TURNS 100 YEARS OLD – One of the most popular singers of traditional Mexican music turned 100 years old this year. Martín Becerra was the lead singer of the Trío Guayacán and the duet Martín y Malena, both popular in 1940s Mexico. After moving to Los Angeles, Becerra became a memorable voice in that city as a radio personality. Don Martin shared some of his memories of his productive artistic career on Radio Bilingüe’s national talkshow Línea Abierta. Ruben Tapia reports from Los Angeles. This story is part of our Raíces series: Stories About Grassroots Artists.
