Colorado Massacre Revives Gun Control Debate; HIV on the Rise among 20-Year-Old Latinos; Mexican Youth Surrond Televisa.

COLORADO MASSACRE REVIVES GUN CONTROL DEBATE 鈥 The recent massacre in a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado, by a man armed with a military arsenal, revived once again the calls to regulate sale of assault weapons, high-power ammunition, and supercharged firearms, which are freely available in the U.S. Many say weapons of war should not have a place on the nation鈥檚 streets. Those who oppose the regulations point to the second amendment to the Constitution, which guarantees the right to bear arms. Marco Vinicio Gonz谩lez takes a look at this discussion.

HIV ON THE RISE AMONG 20-YEAR-OLD LATINOS  - The rate of Latinos with the AIDS virus has dropped. That鈥檚 the good news. The bad news is that infection has increased among Latinos in their early twenties. AIDS researchers and experts joined forces during a Latino forum in Washington, D.C., as part of the 2012 International AIDS Conference. Dr. Britt R铆os-Ellis , director of the NCLR/CSU Long Beach Center for Latino Community Health, spoke on Radio Biling眉e鈥檚 national news show L铆nea Abierta about the reasons behind the recent rise of the virus among Latino youth.

MEXICAN YOUTH SURROUND TELEVISA 鈥 Angry with what they consider electoral fraud, thousands of youth last week formed a circle around the installations of the television giant Televisa in Mexico City. The youth, most of them part of the movement known as 鈥淵o Soy 132,鈥 are protesting the monopoly of the television consortium, which they accuse of giving biased coverage in favor of presidential candidate Enrique Pe帽a Nieto. The demonstrations have been replicated in many parts of Mexico and the world. Citlali S谩enz has more from Mexico City.
