Deferred Action for Adults Suspended - Political leaders and immigrant rights organizers say they are sure that deferred action of deportation will be expanded in the near future, as ordered by President Obama, despite a federal court’s block. After a judge in Texas blocked executive action on immigration from going into effect, the decision is now in the hands of a federal appeals court. José López Zamorano has more from the nation’s capital.

New York Immigrants Apply in Droves for City I.D. - The government of New York City is activating a city identification card for all New Yorkers without other official I.D., including the half a million undocumented immigrants calculated to live in the Big Apple. New York is joining another seven cities that already have this benefit. The response went well beyond all expectations: about 250,000 people have asked for an appointment to apply for the identification. Marco Vinicio González reports from New York.

Justice Demanded for Mexican Killed by Police - The death of a Mexican farm worker, shot by police in the city of Pasco, Washington, has sparked a wave of outrage on both sides of the border. In a videotape, Antonio Zambrano is seen to be walking away from the police, then he stops and puts his hands in the air, when he is shot. More than a week after his death, family members, community activists and the Mexican government are demanding justice. Radio journalist Francisco Rios, of Radio KDNA, our affiliate station in Granger, Washington, has been following the case and has this interview with the president of the group Consejo Latino in Pasco, Félix Vargas.
