Today, President Obama meets with Uruguayan President José “Pepe” Mujica. They have human rights, global inclusion and global peace in their agenda. Linea Abierta opens its microphone and phone lines to discuss the debate on free trade and trade cooperation agreements, plus Uruguay’s marijuana law. Listeners voice their opinions over Uruguay’s marijuana law, some agree on the country’s decision to legalize the drug; they state their medicinal use could be helpful. However, not all listeners agree some say it is a drug and should still be prohibited. Uruguay is the first country to legalize the use and growth of marijuana.
