International Tribunal of Conscience.

On the first anniversary of the disappearance of 43 Ayotzinapa students and the opening session of the United Nations, an international grassroots tribunal held hearings this week in New York City charging the Mexican government with crimes against humanity. Jurors from three continents examined the unprecedented human rights crisis in Mexico, the drug war, the exodus of migrant children and the role US aid has in sustaining those government practices.

Also, Ayotzinapa Mothers. On the first anniversary of the disappearance of their sons, students at a rural college of teachers, mothers from Ayotzinapa made their voice heard at the end of a speech by Pope Francis in Philadelphia. They explain the petition they brought to the pontiff.

Also, Colombian Peace Pact. Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos and Timoleón Jiménez, the leader of the largest rebel group, reached an apparent breakthrough in their peace talks to end the longest running armed conflict in Latin America.
