Immigration Edition.
A bill known as TRUST Act was passed by the Illinois legislature and, if signed by Gov. Bruce Rauner, will make Illinois one of the first states to declare itself a welcoming place and a safe haven for immigrants. Additionally, Latino leaders are calling to boycott Texas and move conferences and festivals out of the state to protest Texas’ draconian anti-immigrant law. And Jeff Sessions orders for tougher sentences may put more undocumented immigrants behind bars and with longer prison time. This program also includes practical advice for immigrants.
