Conjunto Hall of Famers.
On the eve of this year’s edition of the traditional Tejano Conjunto Festival three-day concert in San Antonio, cultural leaders are honoring legends of Tex-Mex music by inducting them into the Conjunto Hall of Fame at San Antonio’s historic Guadalupe Theater. This year’s honorees are tejano song superstar Emilio Navaira and Radio Bilingüe’s long-time “Onda Tejana” host Alma Garza, who received a posthumous recognition. Conjunto accordion master Felipe Pérez and veteran composer and singer Samuel Ramos Jr were also honored. This is a live broadcast from the studios of partner station Texas Public Radio in San Antonio.
