Dolores: The Movie.

The new documentary “Dolores” premieres this week in theaters around the country. The film tells the story of legendary labor, civil and women rights leader Dolores Huerta, co-founder of the United Farm Workers union along with César Chávez. Dolores Huerta comments on stories featured in the film and on the need for Latinos to create their own narrative.

Fight for 15. On Labor Day, the holiday that honors the US labor movement, a top US union leader discusses pressing issues for Latino workers, including the fight for a $15 minimum wage in the fast food industry, the looming threat to end DACA, the efforts to enact state legislation to combat wage theft, the benefits for the country of providing equal pay for Latinas, and the urgent need for construction workers to help cleanup and rebuild Houston after Hurricane Harvey’s devastation.
