Tejano Conjunto Concert: Day One. Hour 3.
This third hour of special coverage of the opening day of the Tejano Conjunto Festival Concert in San Antonio features live music by Ricky Naranjo y los Gamblers from the stage at Rosedale Park. The program host Samuel Rodriguez also brings interviews with Rick Fuentes and Albert García, director and singer of Rick Fuentes and the Brown Express, respectively. Born in San Jose, California, Rick Fuentes pays tribute to his late father Ricardo Fuentes, the founder of the original Brown Express in the 70s, and to the late Chavela Hernández, who formed her own Chavela y su Grupo Exprés. He also interviews festival fans who come from places as far away as Chicago, los Angeles, and other cities around Texas.
