New Measures Begin to Protect Workers from Wildfire Smoke

Two years ago, Washington State experienced one of the worst wildfire seasons in recent history. Thousands of outdoor workers were affected by the toxic smoke. In response, Governor Jay Inslee approved temporary measures to require that employers in construction and agricultural industries protect their workers from the dangers posed by wildfires. These initiatives go into effect just as the new wildfire season begins. José Luis Buen Abad reports from Seattle.
