Senate Begins Historic Impeachment Trial Against Trump – After weeks of political maneuvering, President Donald Trump’s historic impeachment trial has reached the Senate. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi signed the two articles of Impeachment–abuse of power and obstruction of Congress–and designated the seven prosecutors in the case, including Hispanic judge and Texas legislator Sylvia García. The trial begins on Tuesday, January 21, and will be chaired by Chief Justice John Roberts. José López Zamorano has the details from Washington.

Group Uses Lottery Game to Teach About the Importance of the Census – Worried about the possibility that millions of dollars in resources could be wasted if there is an incomplete population count in the census that begins in March, a Texas community organization has modified the popular Mexican game of Lotería. They call it Census Lote, and are playing it in the homes of immigrant families in towns in the Rio Grande Valley to encourage them to be counted.
